1. About us
Phasa is an independent practice app for South Africa's learner's licence test. It is operated by:
- Ridgeback Digital (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, registration number 2026/812340/07
- Director: Riyad Hassan
- Physical address (also our address for legal notices): 6 Jasmin Street, Bethal, Mpumalanga, 2309
- Email: [email protected] · Phone: 078 788 3444 · Website: getphasa.co.za
We do not belong to any industry self-regulatory body or subscribe to a code of conduct. Phasa is not affiliated with the Department of Transport, the Road Traffic Management Corporation or any driving licence testing centre, and it is not the official test.
2. What you get
The free readiness test is available to everyone. A paid plan gives one person full access to the practice features (mock tests, practice by section, weak-spot drills and progress tracking) for the period shown when you buy, for example 7 or 60 days. Access starts as soon as your payment is confirmed or you redeem a code. A Duo plan includes one extra single-use code for another person. A gift purchase gives you single-use codes instead of access for yourself. Codes may not be resold.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown in rand, include VAT where applicable, and are charged once. There is no subscription, no debit order and no delivery cost. You pay by card, Instant EFT or other methods offered by Paystack. Before you pay, the payment screen shows the plan and total price, and you can go back, change your plan or cancel without being charged.
Paystack processes payments on a secure, PCI DSS-compliant platform. We never see or store your card or bank details. See our privacy policy for how we protect your personal information.
4. Your record of the purchase
After you pay you get a receipt by email and a payment reference starting with PHS-. Keep it: you can use it with your email to restore your access or find gift codes again.
5. Learners under 18
If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy a plan or create an account. A parent or guardian can also buy for you.
6. Accuracy
Our questions are written in our own words from official public documents, and every answer shows its source. We check them carefully, but laws and test formats change and we cannot promise that the app is free of errors or that you will pass. Always follow the law and the instructions of your testing centre. If something looks wrong, tap "Report a problem with this question" or email us.
7. Acceptable use
Don't copy, scrape or redistribute the question bank or the app, and don't try to get around payment or access controls.
8. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel within 7 days of paying and get a full refund, without giving a reason. See our refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
9. Complaints
Email [email protected] first; we aim to resolve complaints within 10 working days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your plan. This does not apply to loss caused by our gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and the terms that applied when you paid continue to apply to that purchase. South African law applies.
