Learner's licence pass mark and number of questions

South Africa's computerised learner's licence test has 64 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes. It is split into three sections, and you must pass every section on its own: a high score in one section can't make up for a low score in another.

How many questions can you get wrong?

At most 2 in vehicle controls, 5 in road signs and 6 in rules of the road. One more wrong in any section means you fail the whole test, even if the other two sections are perfect. That's why most people who fail, fail on signs: 23 out of 28 is the strictest mark.
